1 A STORY OF US
Big bang, billions years?
Life through extraordinary forms.
Mass extinction tears.
2 FOR MOTHER AND FATHER, I SUPPOSE
You and me, many countless billions of times experience birth, together.
Can’t remember the day of my first breath or the state of the weather
but it’s stormy outside
in a good way, only for some.
Never for the bottom billion leper-crawling in a slum.
You bleed blue lifeblood, Mother, for me.
Carving mountains and valleys underfoot.
My daughter knows yellow and blue bring green.
That planting flowers and recycling plastic could bear fruit.
My daughter for president of our Mother and Father, I propose.
3 SONG FOR A FUTURE
Ecology and eco-stories, now, please.
The only way to sustain their economy
and transcend our egological egonomy.
